Ingredients
1 packet unflavored gelatin powder
1/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
2. Heat the hot water and dissolve the sugar in it, stirring until clear.
3. Pour the hot sugar water over the bloomed gelatin and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
4. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
5. Pour the mixture into a mold or dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
6. To unmold, dip the mold in warm water for a few seconds and invert onto a plate.
Notes
Avoid adding fresh pineapple, kiwi, or papaya as they contain enzymes that prevent gelatin from setting.
Serve chilled. Garnish with fresh fruit or a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
